What does Reputation do?

Currently, reputation on Queception is just a static value that represents the interaction of the user with this website. In the future versions of Queception the reputation of users can be used to provide further features.

How can users gain or lose Reputation?

Queception reputation system is very simple. By default all users start with 1 reputation point because the founder of this site believes that every welcome user is valuable for us, but as rule of thumb, it is also possible that your reputation can reach to 0 in case of downvoting and vice versa.

You gain reputation when:
1) One of your questions is upvoted: +5.
2) One of your answers is upvoted: +10.
3) One of your answers becomes accepted: +15.
4) You accept an answer written by someone else to one of your own questions: +2.

You lose reputation when:
1) One of your questions is downvoted: -5(if your reputation is more than 4, otherwise your reputation will become 0).
2) One of your answers is downvoted: -10(if your reputation is more than 9, otherwise your reputation will become 0).
3) One of your answers becomes unaccepted: -15(if your reputation is more than 14, otherwise your reputation will become 0).
4) You unaccept an answer written by someone else to one of your own questions: −2(if your reputation is more than 1, otherwise your reputation will become 0).

Summary

Queception is very simple website and is not very strict about giving reputation to its users who interact with the site properly. The more you get the reputation the more you will get confidence. The main goal of Queception is to help the people to grow and communicate knowledge.
